"We would recommend you to all of our friends!"
"Your service and tour was flexible, innovative and a complete service".
"It was great having a husband and wife team that know the real Sicily."
This year, we had the joy of guiding four incredible women—Joy, Barb, Susan, and Winsome—around the beautiful island of Sicily. These ladies are seasoned travellers, having explored destinations like Africa and Vietnam together. Now in their 70s and 80s, they continue to embrace their passion for discovery and adventure.
While travelling can become more challenging with age, these four remarkable friends showed that with the right approach, realistic planning, and great support, the magic of travel is absolutely within reach. Their trip was filled with laughter, camaraderie, and heartfelt moments, and it was truly an honour to be part of their journey.
We were inspired by their lifelong bond, their unwavering support for one another, and their boundless enthusiasm for every experience. Watching them savour the sights, sounds, and flavours of Sicily reminded us that the spirit of adventure has no age limit. We had an unforgettable time with these lovely ladies and left with memories just as warm and vibrant as they are.

Bespoke Tour and big day out transfer days Mt Etna, Winery, Caccamo Castle, Cefalú, Palermo to Taormina
"We came to Sicily with our two adult children and their spouses to see where Charlie's paternal grandparents had immigrated from in the early 1900's.
We were so very fortunate to have found Santoro Tours (Nino and Catherine) to help us with our vacation time in Taormina. We started our adventure with them picking all 6 of us up in Palermo and driving us to our next destination of Taormina. Nino and Catherine were such a delight in making the drive a memorable day with a stop at the Norman castle of Castello Caccamo. Then off to Cefalu to enjoy the beautiful city and a delicious lunch at TinChite Taverna which they had recommended. They delivered us and all our luggage to our hotel in Taormina and bid us goodnight until the next morning for our big day out to Mt. Etna and the winery tour with lunch and of course wine! On our last full day, they arranged an incredible private boat tour around the coastline. They also delivered everyone to the Catania Airport for our return home. Nino and Catherine were always there to make things go smoothly and looked out for every detail to make our experiences memorable ones for all of us. They made us feel more like we were visiting with friends and seeing the Sicily they love so much. They love what they do, which is making sure everyone enjoys the time spent with them in beautiful Sicily. Thank you Nino and Catherine for a trip we will always remember. Arrivederci until we come back to Sicily again!"
Dorthe and Hermann came to Sicily for the first time this summer and fell in love with it!
They were really intrepid travellers and went right to the top of Mt Etna as high as you could go into the crater !
They are both connoisseurs of good wine and food and really loved the boutique winery we took them to that did a degustation food pairing with their wines.
We also took them to our favourite restaurant in Taormina, Rosmarino, for outstanding crudo plate of raw searfood and pastas.
We did a great boat experience around Isole Bella and swam in the azzure waters whilst sipping on prosecca and snacking on paste mandorla!

Bespoke Tour - 2 days Mt Etna, Winery and Best of Taormina
What a great time we had with three generations of this wonderful family - grandmother, daughter and grand-daughter!
This family have Sicilian heritage and returned to Sicily after many years for Rosa to spend time with her relatives and friends, some of which she had not seen since she was a young bride and left Sicily for Australia.
After spending time in the place she was born, we picked them up and took them around Sicily for a week!
We know how to look after and meet the needs of all generations and worked out the activities and itinerary to make sure everyone had their travel needs and hopes met. It was such a pleasure to travel with this family/!

Bespoke Tour - Taormina, Siracusa and Agrigento
"My girlfriend and I recently visited Sicily and stayed in Taormina. Catherine and Nino were instrumental with us falling in love with Sicily.
They organised the most amazing trips and agenda for us to fit in with our too short 5 day stay. Nino showed us a side of Sicily we never would have managed on our own.
The 3 hour drive to Agrigento and the Turkish Steps was amazing. Also a trip to Siracusa and Ortigia with a fabulous seafood repast and granita en route. To top it all off they got us tickets to the Teatro Antico to see an Umberto Tozzi concert!
We love you both and can't wait to return.
Grazie mille, Sally and Vic"
This lovely Aussie family Eliza, her 3 children, husband and parents had a great time up on Mt Etna exploring the largest active volcano in Europe!
The kids said it was like being on the moon!
Then we headed down the mountain to Gambino Winery for some great local Sicilian food and wines.
The Gambino team really looked after the kids as well.

Big Day Out - Mt Etna and Winery Tours
Carolyn is a wonderful traveller who has travelled with us twice now. She is part of the Santoro Tours family now and an ambassador for us.

In 2018 we were doing tours around Italy too and Carolyn did that tour with us as well. Since that time and our little break in Covid, we have decided to keep out focus mostly on Sicily as it is where we live for half they year and where Nino was born.
Carolyn fell in love with the crazy beautiful culture and lifestyle in Sicily and even wrote our name in the volcanic rocks up on Mt Etna!
