Each year we add a new destination to our tour list and this year we are venturing into Croatia and a doing a tiny taste of Switzerland along the way! Whilst our base is our beloved Italy we want to be true to the wanderlust and discover new places and cultures too. This tour is done at a premium level of accommodation and comfort in travel with your own private vehicle and 4 star equivalent accommodation.
We commence in Milan and the picturesque Dolomite Mountains discovering mountain tops that make you feel you are in the Sound of Music and experience the regional northern cuisine which is quite distinct from other parts of Italy. Then on to lakes of northern Italy and Switzerland and down to Trieste on the way to Croatia where we will delight in the beaches and history. We end our fabulous journey together in the romantic city of Venice where it's so easy to get lost in the beauty and winding alley ways around the water.

Accommodation in 4 Star or equivalent premises – hotels and apartments
Transport around Italy in air-conditioned minivan for 10 days including pick up at Milan Malapensa airport and transfer to Venice airport or train station at completion of tour
Free time on some days to explore and enjoy local delights and culture
Alcohol (although some restaurants do provide wine as part of the meal)

Travel advice: We advise that you arrive in Italy several days before the tour commences if you wish to see the main tourist attractions and recover from jet lag so you can enjoy the tour. We can suggest an itinerary for you that covers all the major tourist attractions either before or after the tour.

Tour commences in Milan and we pick you up from train station or airport. We immediately head north to Lugano Switzerland for a taste of the Swiss lifestyle. We explore the picturesque town of Lugano, soak up the Swiss culture and dine on the local cuisine!
We journey to the lakes region of northern Italy to discover the largest and most spectacular lakes in Italy. You may even see George Clooney there!
On to Verona where we visit the summer castles of Romeo and Juliet! The Veneto region has some of the best wines in Italy and we will dine on typical regional fare with wine to die for!
We travel into the heart of the Dolomites today passing old tunnels created in WWI -you will feel like you are in the clouds. We will take a spectacular walk from Italy to what was the old Italian Austrian border - a walk you will never forget.
We go east today! East to Trieste which is the city that is most north east in Italy before we cross to Croatia. Trieste is on the coast, so we have gone from mountains and lake to the sea!
Day 5, 6 and 7
We head in to Croatia and the northern Dalmation coastline to Rovinj and Pula to discover shimmering waters, a rich cultural heritage and hidden gems. Delight in the Dalmation coast - so much to do - laze around the beach and soak up the beach life or discover the amazing history of Croatia.
Day 8 and 9
Travel to the Venice region for the last couple of days of the tour. Soak up the romance of Venice and enjoy all the places you have read about such as the Bridge of Sighs, St Mark’s Basilica, the Doges Palace and so on before we take a ferry ride to the surrounding islands of Murano and Burano.
We have the morning to relax or enjoy the beach or waterways before we have a final lunch together and we say ‘arrivederci’ and drop you to your airport, train station or destination in Venice.
